Queen Cotton

African Americans worked cotton fields for centuries to build this country for free.
“King Cotton” was the slogan used prior to The American Civil War to justify slavery.

Cleavon Meabon, IV says, “I personally believe every black person should own a significant share of cotton. It was important to me to capture this in a way that spoke to Black residence and our ancestor’s wildest dreams.”

This is “Queen Cotton” and isn’t she stunning?

Task

Justus Wilson is a new and upcoming model. She came onto the set (a massive cotton field) nervous and unsure of what to do; however, that faded away immediately as the first shot was taken. She is a natural!
